My grandfather fought in WWII for the U.S. After he died we found a collection of things he picked up during the war. I would like to know more about his book of his I found. It seems like some kind of Hitler biography. The photos are all pasted in, on real photo paper, not printed in the book itself. Any ideas of what I'm looking at, and possibly what it's worth? photos of the book
Adolf Hitler, Bilder Aus Dem Leben Des Fuhrers (Cigaretten Bilderdienst, Hamburg, 1936) - A "cigarette card book" - you got coupons from your cigarettes, which were mailed in to the company and you received the black-and-white photographs in exchange, which you then pasted into your book. I can't say what it's worth - that depends on the completeness (number of photos) and the condition (yours looks pretty water-damaged). You might try r/antiques for that kind of thing.
