In what ways is the Nation Abysia from Dominions 4 inspired by Arab or Islamic culture?

by Verinio

Dominions 4 is a turn based strategy game by Desura. It is heavily inspired by different types of mythology, from greek, indian, lots of aztec and incan, germanic, nordic, etc

Here is a map about their placement in a fantasized world map of the nations in the early age:

As you can see and if you know the game a bit, almost every placement makes sense. However the placement of Abysia surprises me.

I myself don't recognize any explicit arab influences, except maybe for a few pretender gods, so I am wondering if you can tell me anything about how the units of Abysia relate to Arab culture.

Edit:

Some ressources for you to look up Abysia:

Click on the unit tab and then pick Abysia from the Early Era, you can go read through all the units that nation has access to. Make sure to click on national only and not generic only. Points of interest are: Units, Commanders, Pretenders and Heroes.

Absyia exist in 4 different forms. Early Age, Middle Age and Late Age. The idea is that they were pure beings of flame in the beginning. Then started to practice blood magic in the Middle Era and then in the late Era were muddled too much with the humans and haven't got many pure Abysians left.

Then there is the Dual Kingdom you can find in the late Age: Ragha. It's a mixture of the "humans with wings" and some Abysian offshot. Even I recognize the persian, zoroastrian influence in there. So it's of less interest, but still interesting to read upon.

There is this wiki, but it's almost empty. Another source are the nation descriptions, which you can find on steam here:

Could you expand on what the characteristics of "Abysia" are, or at least provide a resource that does so?
