I saw the book recommended in the rules & FAQ, but I wonder if it goes beyond the context of the original document and ratification to then explain the context and climate around each of the subsequent amendments?

I'd love to get a sense of what social, political, economic, etc. factors played into the adoption of each amendment. (Preferably in a writing style that is accessible and narrative-like, rather than pure academic text.)
