T95/T28 was a vehicle designed for a very specific purpose: Assaulting static German fortifications. In such a role, I see no reason it would not have done well. However, it would also be a very situational vehicle used only for set-piece deliberate assaults, and would have required substantial advance planning. So, getting a couple dozen of the things into theater probably wouldn't have been the end of the world, they used M4 Sherman technology, generally speaking, the Ford engine, HVSS bogies, and so on, but they certainly would have been misplaced if produced and delivered in really large numbers.
