Hey there everyone! My grandfather was born in a small village in Potenza, Italy and fought in the WW2 for the Italian Resistance (Partisan movement). He died when my father was a little kid, so my father doesn't remember much as well, except that he fought "for the King's Army" (which i suppose it was Victor Emanuel III).
So i would like to know more about the Italian resistance movements in Southern Italy and try to identify the insignia on my grandfather's cap (i don't know if this is a military attire).
Thanks!
Edit: sorry for the incomplete title. I forgot that i cannot edit it =|
Hello there! As your question is related to looking for identification/information regarding military personnel, our Guide on Military Identification may be of use to you. It provides a number of different resources, including how to request service records from a number of national agencies around the world, as well as graphical aids to assist in deciphering rank, unit, and other forms of badges or insignia. While the users here may still be able to lend you more assistance, hopefully this will provide a good place to start!
