Hey. If this is inappropriate for this sub, I sincerely apologize. I've been looking for a good WWI casualty dataset. I see lots of casualty totals, eg. Germany suffered x casualties in WWI, but nothing more granular than that, such as casualties by month. Are you all aware of any resources that could help me out, or have any suggestions for where to look?
I know that casualty counts vary widely depending on source, but this is more for a fun project on my own than anything intensely rigorous.

Off the top of my head I would suggest The World War I Databook by John Ellis and Michael Cox. One of Ellis's primary methods is taking a statistical approach, and he does so both in the large format (X country fielded X vehicles for X timeframe) and also smaller scale (x unit fielded X soldiers with X casualties during X battle).
You should be able to find a copy online fairly cheap.
Also, he has another databook for the second war.
