Basically, what's in the title. I know it's a very, very broad subject, so if it's any help, I'd like to learn about stone and metal age everyday life, maybe a middle age, and everything else is a plus.
Actually, there is a series of books dedicated to just that sort of topic. Unfortunately, it does not cover anything prior to the Roman Period--but it is exactly the sort of thing you are looking for.
