Is there a good, definitive list of Presidential (U.S.) biographies?

by gunslingrburrito

I checked the books and resources list but didn't see anything there. I'd love to read the "definitive" biography of each US President.
Edit: If such a list doesn't already exist, I'd be happy to take your recommendations for excellent presidential biographies, and create a list based off of that.

I personally am quite fond of Edmund Morris' biography of Theodore Roosevelt which is written as a trilogy. The middle portion, Theodore Rex, covers his presidency from the very first moments, rushing back from his vacation to Washington DC to be sworn in after the president suddenly died after being shot some eight days prior (it was thought that McKinley would recover). That book alone is quite good, and I am hoping I can get to reading the other two parts of the trilogy soon.

I've used that book in a couple of answers here in AH -- I felt confident citing what I had read in it here.

Various online resources compile such lists, with some partial agreement.

I couldn't see any list which was vetted by historians of the relevant periods, though, so a collaborative response could be useful.

Print out a list of the US presidents. Pick a president and search for biographies of said president. Not too hard.
