Quite a bit. Ryan Mungia has a good book collecting the various propaganda posters if you're into that sort of thing. VD is something the military (all militaries) takes seriously. The Allied invasion of Italy is probably the poster child of worst case scenario in this regard. Infection rates in the Fifth Army were over 10% and, with penicillin not available until mid-February 1944 (and even them, in limited quantities), 15% of hospital beds were devoted to VD cases. To put that in context, this is during Anzio and Monte Cassino, two actions doing all they could to fill up beds on their own. A Lt. Col. was assigned full-time as a "VD control officer" in March 1943 (before the invasion of Italy), well before the problem reached its apex.
