To me it just doesn't seem like something that would feasibly work, surely firing a tank cannon from such a lightaircraft would cause it to loose control of it's flight.
The French may have tested a 75mm gun (the same calibre as used by their tanks) in a large Voisin triplane bomber. The British also mounted the Davis 6 pdr (57mm, the same calibre used in the Mark 1 Male tank) on Handley Page O/100 and O/400 bombers which were twin-engined biplanes.
The largest gun fired in anger from an aircraft during WW1 was a 66mm gun mounted in a three-engined Austro-Hungarian flying boat.
However, none of these were mounted in single-engined fighter-type aircraft like the tankbuster in BF1. 37mm guns were sometimes used on fighters, especially by the French.
