What did Aristotle have to say about Whirling (Sufi Whirling)?

I've asked this question in /r/askphilosophy, and it looks like it might not have been Aristotle, but Herodotus.

Anyone have any info regrading this?

Um,

  • the Sufi school is Muslim
  • Mohammed was born in 570 C.E.ish
  • Aristotle died around 322 B.C.E.
  • Herodotus died around 425 B.C.E.

So both of the philosophers that you asked about died roughly a millenium before the earliest possible date for any Sufi practice.

Perhaps you can clarify the question?
