My Grandma is on her last legs, so we're clearing out the house.
My Grandpa died about 10 years ago.
The story is that he stole this dud grenade from WWII.
It used to be on the windowsill when my mom was a kid and while I was growing up and visiting.
It's now in this drawer.
The drawer has a sulfur odour to it.
It appears to have a few drill holes on the side of it, but not on the bottom, and the holes aren't very big maybe 3 mm in diameter.
Everything I can find online suggests this isn't a safe thing to have, but curious about your opinion.
I'd love to be able to keep it, but obviously not unless I know it's safe.
I'm also okay with calling the police to destroy it too.

It's got holes drilled and is painted white, which traditionally means it's a dummy. Also the spoon is missing, which would set it off. You shouldn't ever believe people on the internet, but I'm fairly sure it's completely safe.
If you really need to get rid of it, I'd try ebay, but check your local laws to make sure it's not illegal.
