We lost a Patriot today .
I've just found out my grandfather passed away this morning around 1:30. Please excuse my ramble, but I have done vodka in me now.
My grandfather was a Patriot in the truest sense of the word. WWII Veteran, Military Policeman during Vietnam, Memphis Policeman for 20 years, and volunteer bailiff for his hometown until he was in his eighties. I only wish I had the courage this man had.
He was found not breathing at 1:30 this morning, and he if at rest. He fought through our nation's most trying moment, and lived to see the greatest terror attack the world has ever seen. He stayed his watch for 16 more years, until he thought this nation could handle itself without him.
I've been asked to give his eulogy, and I need your help guys. Anyone has any WWII quotes, WWII history, Specifically The USS Mississippi (this was his ship in WWII), this is what he was most proud of.
I love this sub and everything we stand for. Give me a hand in eulogizing a Patriot of the finest order.
