I mean Jewish in a religious sense, rather than an ethnic sense, if that matters (maybe it doesn't matter because they inter-married, I don't know, I don't know a lot about them).
In around 125 BCE, the Jewish king John Hyrcanus captured the territory of Idumea, historically connected to the Edomites, and forcibly converted many of the people who lived there. It's historically debated whether they are the actual descendants of the Edomites of the Hebrew bible. They were largely assimilated into the Jewish nation at that point, so some of them remained Jewish, while others eventually embraced Greco-Roman religion or Christianity.
