Archaeologists at Catalhoyuk have found a remarkably intact female figurine. She's about 7,000 years old, weighs about 1 kg, and you can just about make out her facial expression....
I guess someone is calling out the British Museum for distorting the past to make itself look better. I understand the museum wanting to downplay its racist past, but it sounds like perhaps they could have done a better job of doing that? I don't know. It's hard to comment on this story without more information and more comparisons with other museums who may have tried to do the same thing.
