I've just finished reading "Seven Myths of the Spanish Conquest" (recommended here), which did a wonderful job of educating me while teasing me with fantastic stories (ex. the life of Juan Valiente, my god, why isn't this a block buster?!). What's the best book that will educate me, tell a good story, and not make me sound stupid if I post a question on AskHistorians? I'm just a guy that reads on the train, thanks
