I would prefer things focused on WWI, WWII, or Cold War era, but if you have any recommendations for books from other eras I'd love to hear those too!
I found the book Balkan's Ghosts by Robert D. Kaplan very informative and engrossing, decent bibliography and informed me of much I wasn't aware of that occurred during those years. To be honest, I think highly of the work , and I'm curious what the Historians think of it?
