It doesn't necessarily cover misconceptions, but A Medieval Life: Cecilia Penifader of Brigstock, c. 1295-1344 by Judith M. Bennett is a pretty well written and concise book about what an average person's life would be like in that time period. I read it as part of an assignment and found it pretty interesting! It doesn't go very far into detail, but it does cover quite a few aspects of life that make it a good introduction to life in the High Middle Ages
