First Image Second Image. Each illustration is labelled with a number or letter, what ranks would each man labelled possibly be in?
By the looks of the clothing and weapons, I'm gonna guess somewhere in the 18th century, but I don't know exactly when in those 100 years would these outfits have been worn by the French navy and military.
1770s to 1780s is what I am going to say based on 2 things.
1 is that is the time frame that the French Marines were organized as the Royal Corps.
2 is that they are clearly those of the Ancien Regime so they predate the Revolution.
