I believe that "Hungarian" may be a fictional reference to the Czech legion. It was operating in the siberian part of russia around the time and had significant contact with the korean resistance fighters working in nearby regions. This included moral support, as czechs would've understood the struggle of the independence fighters, but also the sale of arms.

There's very little material in english about korean resistance fighters period, let alone about the interactions between the czech legion and korean fighters, but the czech ambassador to korea wrote a summary of the topic a few years back:
