Is factual that Swedes had "family cudgels" hanging in their churches to let commoners "provide an easy death" to aging parents?

by republic_of_salo

This claim I found in Paul Lafargue's "le Droit à la paresse" from 1883^1 and googling for "family cudgel sweden" in different languages so far only delivered a similar claim in "Das Ich und die sittlichen Ideen im Leben der Völker" by the christian author Otto Flügel (1885)^2

Has this really been a thing or is it just a common myth about the Swedes?

Edit1: Searching for images of "Familjklubbar" delivers only pics of large blond people either hiking or having a game of fia med knuff.

Edit2: "ätteklubbor", the word used in the Swedish translation of lDàlP, delivers several pics of old men sitting on rocking chairs and reading the newspaper as well as two pictures of the self-same stake which kinda looks like what you use to keep the vampires in check.

It appears to be a hard killed myth http://digitaltmuseum.se/011023702005

From the exhibition text, "old people - hur was it and how do you want it?" 2014-2015: "Ättestupan and ätteklubban" In some parts of Sweden, there has been an idea of how people in the past took the lives of the sick and elderly. The story has either been centered around pushing them over cliffs or killing them with a club. There is no historical evidence for the use of Ättestupan and ätteklubban. But the myth is tenacious. In nordic museum archives there is many stories about Ättestupan and ätteklubban. The myth mirrors the surroundings view on old people, but also the old peoples fear for what will happen when they become a load/burden for their relatives"
