I've tried to research it, but all I could find were Halloween costumes. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place? Anyway, the coat looks like it might be from the 30's or 40's. It looks extremely similar to the WAAC/WAC uniform coats but the patches are different. Where is this coat from? It also came with a variety of pins if they might help in the identification process (if anyone knows where these pins go on the coat, that would be fantastic). It is absolutley 100% a USMC uniform jacket, as part of their Alpha service uniform. Bravo would just be the tan long sleeve shirt and Charlie is the short sleeve. Seen here being worn by the legendary General "Mad Dog" Mattis.
You can tell first by the rank insignia, a Marine Lance Corporal.
And two by the buttons, all have the famous "Eagle, Globe, and Anchor" of the Marine Corps.
The pins have nothing to do with the uniform, and would not be worn on the uniform. Looking at them carefully, they mostly appear to be pins given by the Veteran's Administration for civilian service.They are not military.
