I have been reading The 116: The True Story of Abraham Lincoln's Lost Guard, a non-fiction story about the Frontier Guard, a group of men who protected President Lincoln in the early days of his election and presidency. Although the Schuyler family is obviously featured prominently in the recent Hamilton book/play, I have also come across multiple references to a Frontier Guardsman named Philip C. Schulyer in The 116, but can't find much info online as to his family history, or indeed, to much family history of the Schuyler's following the early 1800's. Any info out there about Philip C. specifically, or the history of the Schuyler's generally (after the early 1800's)?
