There was one incident back in 1954 at Hong Kong (technically not China at the time but it involved two Chinese men). It was a feud between the master of Baihe style, a Cantonese man named Chen Kefu, against the then master of Wu Style Tai Chi, Wu Gongyi (birthplace unknown, likely somewhere in Shandong). Their match happened on a ferry from Hong Kong to Macau, at the evening of January 17th 1954. Since by law street fighting (even pre-mediated) was strictly illegal in Hong Kong, Chen Kefu had to petition the governor of Macau at the time, Joaquim Marques Esparteiro, to let it happen. Both men fought to a draw while representing their respective style.

Chen Kefu gave an interview about this fight in the Macau newspaper Jornal do Cidadão in the 2002 June 17th edition.

 

While several newspaper at the time also covered the fight, I think New Evening Post Jan. 12th edition gave it a more well rounded coverage, as sort of an general introduction to the feud and its backstory before the match officially starts.
