I've always been a little skeptical bout the Kennedy assassination and noted that in all the documentaries and movies I've seen that Oswald is never shown sighting in the rifle he bought. After sighting in several rifles (some with scopes) over the years I'm wondering how he was able to take a scoped rifle out of the box and make that shot without any apparent adjustments to the sighting system. Without any adjustments a rifle can wildly inaccurate.

Well, why would it mean Oswald didn't sight his rifle in, if it wasn't shown in a film about him? Oswald seems to have bought his rifle in March '63, and shot Kennedy in November, so he had months with it after he took it out of the box. He lived in Dallas/Ft Worth for much of that time, and being chronically unemployed he had plenty of time to drive out into rural Texas and sight in the gun someplace isolated. The hood of his car and ( perhaps ) a sand bag for a rest, a large cardboard box for a target frame, twenty or thirty rounds of the ammo he wanted to use and a couple hours would be all he would need, no?
