My dad is a Turk, born and raised in Turkey. I was born and grew up outside of Turkey, and I was never educated on the Armenian holocaust. I did a little bit of reading here and there but not enough to know much about it.

I know that my great-grandfather fought on the Eastern front; he was in the Ottoman artillery. My father told me about the stories he used to tell. Stories like how the Armenians would burn mosques down and massacre innocent Turks.

Whenever I asked him about it, he would get really defensive and start rambling about 'western propaganda'.

Is there any way I can prove that it was a real thing, or is it even a real thing that happened?
