A few other resources you might try are: any good dictionary (most include at least some etymological information; a great example is a large edition of the Oxford English Dictionary which your library likely subscribes to; several dictionaries have abbreviated content online, a convenient example is Wiktionary); or a dictionary of etymology (your library should have one; an online example is www.etymonline.com).
