I was wondering if any experts here might be able to give me some information concerning the uniformed men that appear in this photograph. Their uniforms are somewhat unusual, and I'd like to know which army or formation they belong to.

There are already a few clues I've been able to decipher. Judging by the Balkenkreuz on the captured formerly-French Hotchkiss H38 tank in the background, this was taken in a German camp, after the fall of France. They appear to be armed and at ease, so are presumably an Axis ally.

Their helmets are definitely Vz 32/34 Czech pattern, and the rest of the uniform might be too, although at this stage in the war they can't be Czechoslovakian Army. Of course, these uniforms were also in use with the Slovak Republic's army, although they had a very distinctive sort of cross pattern along the side and a blue band painted along the rim of their helmets which these men do not have, so I'm not sure they are Slovaks either. Instead they have a single, very different cross painted across the front. The collar insignia seems a little odd as well.

So, who are these guys?
