There are several variations of this quote (which is sometimes attributed to different translations from Russian), yet I am unable to find any real verification that Stalin actually said this.

Unless there will be someone with more information (access to the book, for example), I'd like to say that none of the actual Tehran materials I've seen support this.
During Tehran conference (1943, war was not even over yet; maybe it was Yalta?) Stalin wanted troops on the ground - Anglo-American troops - and the ground was in Northern France, not Italy. Tehran conference itself mostly consisted out of bickering about the Overlord: Allies were postponing it for the 3rd or 4th time, depending on how you count. Needless to say, Stalin wasn't a happy camper. The aforementioned British Intelligence was effectively accused of incompetence at least twice by him: Churchill was told that he is wrong about German troop distribution in Europe (second meeting, Nov 29) and about situation in Poland (fourth meeting, Dec 1).
I.e. the quote seems to be out of place, not to mention it is uncharacteristically vague and is much more in line with Western perception of WWII, rather than Soviet.
