Did native Americans have different religious groups or did they all follow the same general religion? How different were their religions across the continent?
Edit: I am most interested in the centuries right before colonization so between 1000 - 1492 A.D. Specifically across modern day Mexico, U.S., and Canada.
Unfortunately, this isn't a subject area which I can talk specifically about, hence I felt making a comment would be uncouth, however, all the same, for the sake of other responders, I though it'd be useful to say that I think you'll have to be more specific here (for the sake of getting the response you want) .
FIRSTLY: What do you define as 'America'? - are we talking about the territory currently occupied by the USA? do we include some of the pacific Islands and the Caribbean? what about the Canary Islands (which some people group as part of Latin America)?
SECONDLY: Is there any specific period you are interested in? - Human settlement and 'religious' culture on the American mainland can be traced back all the way back to 2600BCE, with the construction of Temple-Pyramids in Peru all the way up until your end-point in 1492 and is massively diverse in nature. Hence, if you want any depth, it'd be a good idea to stipulate a specific period.
