I'm curious to know if years or firing bows, particularly some of the types requiring lots of strength, like English long bows, would have left archers with visually apparent disproportionate musculature. I imagine they wouldn't draw the bow with each hand to even out development.
If you'd seen a company of archers, would you notice anything disproportionate about them?
As you can see from this skeleton of a longbowman, the left arm does indeed look overdeveloped. Whether that would have been visibly disproportionate in life, I can't say though.
