How were mixed race (particularly Native American-White) people treated in the early United States?

Would a half-Indian half-White man have been allowed to vote, for example, or would he have encountered any issues trying to marry a white woman?

How early in the United States are you asking exactly? Because for a very long time, mixed marriages were encouraged as it benefited both parties. Both parties received resources, boosted trade, and created alliances. Native women who married white men shared their property as well.
