Not a 100% sure I understand your question. Soviet and German soldiers were not really "working together". Germany invaded Poland, and then the Soviet Union invaded two weeks later. Both sides agreed on the border, with Germany getting the western half of Poland and the USSR getting the eastern half. The final border took some days to finalize but nevertheless, once it was established, German and Soviet troops stayed on their respective sides.
