Called the "Forgotten War" for a reason, the Korean war seems not to receive much attention in terms of hagiographies, and I'm struggling to find any accounts of the war that aren't noted as unreliable (i.e. written by an ideological communist/capitalist with some stake in the portrayal of the war).
Is there an end-all-be-all military account of the Korean War?
I consider the best explanation of the political and strategic aspects of the Korean War (it is less comprehensive on Tactical operations) to be "This Kind of War" by Fehrenbach.
