Can someone provide me with a rundown of some examples of strategies and tactics used in battles and wars during the middle ages? I'd find it really useful, and if anyone knows of some good books on the topic of medieval warfare please tell me, I'd love to check them out. Thanks in advance!
Are you interested in any particular region? Because the tactics used depended on the composition of the armies in question, and those of their opponents. A clash between the French and HRE would have different tactics to an Almoravid - Castille and a Roman - Seljuk or Seljuk Ghaznavid battle.
