I recently visited the Yorktown Battlefield and was surprised to see so many of the earthen trenches mostly intact. What is the oldest known prepared fighting position(s) still in existence today?
Dear OP, does this include castles and such fortifications? Because it isn't uncommon to find remains of older works like that. If I'm correct even the Americas have such works.
