We don't know.
Establishing Jesus' date of birth is difficult. He is believed to have been born before Herod's death, which occurred in 4 BC. This would put Jesus in his early thirties at the time of his crucifixion, assuming he was crucified in AD 29-30. Using the census described in the Gospels to determine Jesus' date of birth is not possible because Quirinius' census took place after Herod's successor, Archelaus, was deposed. That was in AD 6, which means the census would have taken place around ten years after Jesus' birth.
