I was looking for something, I was looking through drawers and boxes, and all that when I found this strange medal kind of thing, it didn't have the part you'd use to hang it, the cloth part, just the gold colored metal part.
I assume this is the front part.

I actually have no idea where it came from or if it's even a genuine medal, is there any information you can give me on it?
