Do you know of any good books to help present a comprehensive view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the context of events of the 21st century and the past?

Question as topic. I think researching by myself may be better than asking a redditor to try to summarise it.

I'd say the best general books which provide an overall history of the conflict would be Avi Shlaim's The Iron Wall and Benny Morris' Righteous Victims.

Both are well-regarded, and generally considered reasonable and fair-minded, though Morris leans slightly pro-Israel, and Shlaim slightly pro-Palestinian.
