I'm talking about the section above the walls themselves in this picture, the small roof thingy that allows and protects from arrow fire where you'd normally expect crenellations. The picture is from a videogame and depicts a japanese castle.
I’m sorry but I’m not sure what exactly you’re talking about. Do you mean the open window-type spaces the attacking force is seemingly climbing through in the attached photo? I know it’s rough but you can make out my intention.
