Dominant Cavarly

by FireRedJP

I'm looking for specific wars and/or battles where Ottoman and Winged Hussars were the deciding factor or inflicted extremely lopsided casualties. Sources would be appreciated but not neccesary, thanks to all who answer.

The Battle of Vienna 1683 comes to mind first. With about 90k allied forces including HRE, Poles, Republic of Venice, and Hapsburg Hungary vs 140k from the Ottoman Empire. Resulted in about 12k allied losses and 28k-35k Ottoman losses. (These numbers came from wiki, as I am on my phone and don't have anything else handy)

These numbers are from both the Siege and the Battle, so they might answer your question? Though I feel they may not.

Anyway here's a follow up question: How legitimate is the reputation of the Winged Hussars? Were they as dominant a cavalry force as they are claimed to have been, or is their reputation based on great success in a few battles? TL;DR Where they as badass in their day as they are believed to have been by modern people.
