Sorry, wrong holiday, I know. But a friend and I got to wondering about some of the Jewish traditions and we were wondering what Egypt must have looked like after the exodus.
First, we have a long FAQ section on the Exodus. There is a lot of debate about whether it happened at all or not, which you can read up on in more detail.
I tend to fall on the side that something happened, likely during the reign of Ramsses II, during the 19th Dynasty. Dr. Bob Brier lays out a pretty good case for this, highlighting a number of events that lead to that, ending with the "death of the firstborns of Egypt" as an interpretation of the death of Ramses eldest son, Amun-her-khepeshef in 1254 BCE. Ramesses continued to reign until 1213 BCE, and is widely regarded as one of the most prolific builders of monuments in ancient Egypt, so the Exodus, whatever it was, is unlikely to have effected Egypt in any significant way. If you're looking for something else from "what Egypt looked like after the exodus", please elaborate and I'll try to help out.
