Are there any noteworthy studies or analysis of what became of the Hitlerjugend Generation after the war?

In English, there is fairly little to go on for studies of the HJ- or Flakhelfer-generation. Mary Fulbrook's Dissonant Lives: Generations and Violence Through the German Dictatorships has a significant section devoted to the war youth generation. German Intellectuals and the Nazi Past by A. Dirk Moses examines the generational divide between German intellectuals. The German journalist Malte Herwig's book Die Flakhelfer has been translated into the more sensational Post-war Lies, Germany and Hitler’s Long Shadow. Herwig's work has provoked controversy in Germany, especially with his revelation of the brown past of prominent German figures. In German, the landmark text is Heinz Bude's Deutsche Karrieren. Lebenskonstruktionen sozialer Aufsteiger aus der Flakhelfer-Generation and Bude's other various works. The anthology Die Hitlerjugend-Generation: biographische Thematisierung als Vergangenheitsbewältigung edited by Gabriele Rosenthal and Claudia Gather also has some insights. Rolf Schörken's Jugend 1945: Politisches Denken und Lebensgeschicht focuses more on the war, but does look at outcomes and trajectories.
