Deceased grandfathers WWII medals came with this sheet of paper with the descriptions of the different medals, etc.
Askhistorians, how can I best preserve this paper so I can pass this down the line? Is there like a professional for this kind of thing? The paper is already starting to tear on the fold line.
Cheers
Obtain a good digital copy of both sides (so the need to handle it is reduced or eliminated). Obtain an acid-free folder. Place it in the folder with the document unfolded. Keep it away from the light. And be grateful for your grandfather's remarkable service!
