This is a follow up to the Genghis Khan question. I'm aware Timur was greatly aware of Genghis to the point he wanted to ressurect the Mongol Empire. Were there any famous Western conquerors like Frederick or Napoleon that knew of Genghis?
Hi OP, this post has every appearance of an example-seeking question, given that it suggests that you're asking about every world leader, anywhere, during the last 900 years. Further, it can probably be assumed that many world leaders today have heard of Genghis Khan, as well as leaders in general in affected areas like Mongolia, China, Russia and so on.
That said, you must have something more specific in mind. Could you please qualify which leaders you're asking about (geographic limit, time period limit) and some finer criteria than simply having heard of him? Thanks
