The votes are in!!
Taking the 'Flair's Choice' Award is /u/ParallelPain on "How was cavalry used in Japan during the sengoku period?"
/u/PangeranDipanagara answered "What were the activities of the VOC in South Sulawesi at the end of the 15th century? How much of an impact did it have on everyday life in the region?"
Finally, "Dark Horse Award", recognizing the top voted non-flaired answer, goes to /u/robbyslaughter on the political history of modern day Liechtenstein
The winners each receive a month of reddit gold in recognition of their accomplishment! (As soon as I, failure of a man figure out how to do it -- may be a brief delay)
So as always, a big congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to everyone who contributed to the subreddit in the past month! Also a reminder, if you want to nominate answers for the monthly awards, the best way to do so is to submit your favorite posts every week to the Sunday Digest!
For a list of past winners, check out this Wiki page!
Huh. I certainly didn't expect this. It's probably more to do with the fact that military topics are popular, rather than the actual quality of my answer.
Still, am humbled to get my first award. I hope to continue providing answers to interesting questions wherever I could.
As probably one of the few here who has been to Liechtenstein (and not just for a day trip, it was a couple days for some reason), I really enjoyed the answer regarding the place. Such an interesting country, and one that really defies convention.
You never know when the random stuff you love reading about is going to come in handy...
Congrats! This goes without saying, but all of these were some damn impressive stuff.
IDK what to say, but... thanks everyone!
Don't worry, you aren't a failure! I have the creddits (although I do mention that in the step-by-step ;-))
Congratulations to /u/ParallelPain, /u/PangeranDipanagara, and /u/robbyslaughter.
