Psychologically speaking has any historian ever analyzed if nomads such as the Mongols have a different conception of "home" or if nomads suffer homesickness?

Australian indigenous people are (or were) nomadic. They didn't have a perception of "home" in the way a white man might but had special places throughout their lands.

Certain areas were considered to be sacred. There is for instance, close to my home, a sacred pond which was a meeting place for indigenous tribes until around 1900 when they were moved out of the area by force.

They also had water holes which were sacred and certain land features such as hills and valleys, cliffs etc. They'd consider these places to be part of their home...but their home was the entire land.

For many indigenous people, the land still is their home but they have to fight to even visit some of their places.
