My grandfather passed a few days ago, and we found this in his belongings, my theory is that it was passed down from his father, who served in the Royal Army Service Corps, We're from scotland, and can see that its from a Canadian newspaper, but why would a service corpsman have an old canadian poem, can someone give me some context here

Is there a possibility that he was in some way involved in the Dieppe Raid? The RASC was essentially a logistics corps, and its personnel would have been involved in everything from coastal transport to message handling.
Do you happen to know what unit your great grandfather was in? It would help to pinpoint his whereabouts and if its possible that he was at Dieppe.
