I think the problem we have answering this is that depending on the cultural stigmas towards drugs in an area at a point in time. There may not be records of what drugs, recreational or otherwise, a person was taking.

I'm not specifically talking about Vlad, I'm talking more generally about the drugs/alcohol use throughout history.
