From various texts and films I've read and seen, it was a mystery as to how Göring was able to get the potassium cyanide pill that he took his own life the night before his scheduled execution.

Has history ever been able to determine who provided Göring with the cyanide pill? Surely he could not have brought it in himself when he was arrested kept it hiding in his cell for nearly a year undetected.
